About us

We move creatives, families, and first-timers — out of Peckham, into four destinations.

Peckham Removals is a small international-removals firm built around the SE15 catchment and four specific destinations: France, Italy, Spain, Portugal. The brief: treat each move like the considered decision it is.

Why Peckham SE15

A specific catchment, a specific kind of customer.

Peckham has changed a lot in the past decade. The SE15 demographic now includes a substantial creative community — artists, musicians, designers, writers, makers — alongside the young families and the older Peckham locals who've been here longer than any of us. Our customer base reflects that. We do creative-class international moves with a particular tone, and we do straightforward family moves with the same care.

We're not the firm for corporate relocations with fixed start dates and an RMC running point. We're not the firm for a Bromley executive moving to Spain with a six-bed property and a three-car garage. Other sister sites in our network are better-shaped for those moves. We're the firm for the Bellenden Road designer moving the studio to Marseille, the Peckham Rye family with two small kids moving to Bologna, the Nunhead solo musician moving to Madrid's Lavapiés.

The voice on this site is on purpose — plain words, short sentences, customer-first. We've found that when we talk that way to customers, they talk that way back, and the move conversations end up clearer for everyone.

Four principles, honestly.

Written quotes that hold

The price is set in writing after the survey. It doesn't move upward unless the scope changes materially — and if it does, we requote rather than absorb the change and surprise you on the day.

Studio kit gets proper care

If the move includes a studio, we treat the studio as the most important thing in the move. Custom crating, photographed inventory, insurance valued at survey, set up at the other end. Because for most makers, the studio is the move.

Family moves run on family time

Kids' rooms packed last, unpacked first. School-year timing respected. The move runs around the family's actual calendar, not around our scheduling preferences.

Honest about what we are not

We don't do corridors we don't run well. If your move is to somewhere outside France / Italy / Spain / Portugal, we'll say so and point you to a better-shaped firm. We'd rather lose the quote than do the move badly.

What we are not

The honest no-list.

We don't do corporate relocations with RMC running point and fixed start dates. The corridor is the same but the workflow is different and there are corridor specialists in our network (uk-france, uk-italy, uk-spain) better-shaped for that.

We don't do corridors outside France, Italy, Spain, Portugal. UK→Germany, UK→Netherlands, UK→Scandinavia, UK→Eastern Europe — we'll happily refer you to firms that do, but we won't take the job ourselves and learn on you.

We don't transport pets. Different regulatory regime, different vehicle requirements. We work alongside specialist pet-transport firms and can refer you.

We don't give tax or visa advice. We'll tell you what residency-evidence pack to assemble for the customs side, but for NHR, the 30%-ruling-equivalent in each country, or which visa pathway applies to you, we'll refer you to a specialist.

If your move is one we run, talk to us.

A first conversation tells us whether we're the right firm. Either way, you get an honest answer.
